I’ve been hella busy lately planning wedding stuff that I haven’t been able to write as much as I’d like (more on that later on how to save on a wedding).
Anyway, I’m excited to announce that I just made the final payment on my student loans! Goodbye fixed interest at 6.8%! It took me a long time to realize how much more careful I need to be when borrowing money.
I’ve been reading a lot more books on personal finance and financial freedom. Here’s the list:
- The Simple Path to Wealth (This has been my favorite so far. The author made it really easy to come up with a plan on building personal wealth.)
- The Intelligent Investor (I didn’t like this book at all. There were some good ideas, but the way it was written was just too old for me to connect with. It wasn’t written in 1949.)
- The Millionaire Next Door (I just started this book and so far it’s been amazing! It really emulates what I want to be in life.)
Last thing, I’ve also been listening/watching Dave Ramsey on YouTube. This guy is so funny by getting real with people about their debts. Listening to him motivated me even more to make the last payment on my student loans.
